One of the best
One of the best hostels/lodge I've been so far

“I decided to leave the city for a week to work remotely and I was looking for options around the area and I found this cozy lodge. It was an easy commute from Vancouver using public transit. On the moment you arrive, you don't feel at a hostel, you feel at a warm, super clean, and friendly place. I stayed in the dorm and I appreciate the quietness of it. I highly recommend it for anyone that looks for a little escape or simply spend a night on your way to other places in the area.”

“I decided to leave the city for a week to work remotely and I was looking for options around the area and I found this cozy lodge. From the moment I did my booking, Martin contacted me to give me more details and info about the place and the area in a very friendly way. It was an easy commute from Vancouver by using public transit. On the moment you arrive, you don't feel at a hostel, you feel at a warm, super clean, and friendly place. Martin will give you a full explanation on everything, plus, everything around the lodge has a little sign to explain. I stayed in the dorm and I appreciate the quietness of it. Another couple of things that I like about this place is that they offer free bikes to go around, good wifi, and a cozy lounge with a wood-fed fire stove. I highly recommend it for anyone that looks for a little escape or simply spend a night on your way to other places in the area. This is not a party hostel, you come here to enjoy nature. Oh he has a BBQ which I used many times as I love cooking!”

“I decided to leave the city for a week to work remotely and I was looking for options around the area and I found this cozy lodge. From the moment I did my booking, Martin contacted me to give me more details and info about the place and the area in a very friendly way. Myself not having a car, it was an easy commute from Vancouver by using public transit, which for anyone that has been in BC for a fair amount of time and doesn't have a car, it's quite a luxury. On the moment you arrive, you don't feel at a hostel, you feel at a warm, super clean, and friendly place. Everything is covid-safety compliant, Martin will give you a full explanation on everything, plus, everything around the lodge has a little sign to explain. I stayed in the dorm (I was the only one there) and I appreciate the quietness of it. Another couple of things that I like about this place is that they offer free bikes to go around (a big perk as there's a lot to see for nature lovers), good wifi (I need it for work reasons), and a cozy lounge with a wood-fed fire stove. I highly recommend it for anyone that looks for a little escape or simply spend a night on your way to other places in the area. One thing though: this is not a party hostel, you come here to enjoy nature. Oh he has a BBQ which I used many times as I love cooking!”

Great custom, friendly lodge
Great custom, friendly lodge

“Excellent value accommodation at friendly host's lodge. Location is only ~10 min drive from Sechelt, and ~15 min walk to a beautiful pier as well as trail. Shared common spaces fostered community with other guests. Stayed in the very cute private cabin (Cherry Cabin). Owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.”

Biker Paradise!
Biker Paradise!

“I've been here on two separate occasions and both times I biked and camped with my partner. I love the hospitality and the option to camp on the property for those that bike there. It makes the journey that much more rewarding and satisfying knowing that we'll have a place to camp after a long bike ride. Loved the ammentities in the lodge (i.e. kitchen, common space, reading room, etc.) and always find the stay to be very warm and relaxing.”

Loved this place!
Loved this place!

“I had a wonderful time staying at Up the Creek. It’s located in a beautiful, quiet spot, surrounded by trees and not too far from the ocean. The house and dorm room was extremely clean and well-maintained. Martin, the owner, was friendly and welcoming. I decided to extend my stay because I liked it there so much. I will definitely be back!”
